About Yoomey
Most online PDF tools upload your document to their servers, process it there, and ask you to trust that they delete it. Yoomey AI takes a different approach: the tools come to your file, not the other way round.
Runs on your device
PDF engines compiled for the browser do the work on your own processor.
No upload server
We don’t run one. There is no endpoint that could receive your file.
Nothing to see
We can’t view, keep or leak what we never receive.
Works offline
Once a tool has loaded, disconnect your Wi-Fi — it keeps working.
How it works
When you open a tool, your browser downloads the application code — the same way it downloads any web page. When you choose a file, it is read into memory on your device. Specialised libraries do the work locally: pdf-lib builds and edits PDF structure, pdf.js renders pages, and Tesseract recognises text for OCR. Heavy jobs run in background threads (Web Workers) so the page stays responsive. The finished file is handed to you as a download link that exists only in your browser.
Why it matters
- Contracts, payslips, medical records, IDs — the documents people most often need to merge or compress are the ones they should least upload.
- Compliance — when a file never leaves the device, there is no third-party transfer to assess.
- Breach-proof by design — a server that never stores files has no files to leak.
Your files never leave your device.
Don’t take our word for it: open your browser’s developer tools, watch the Network tab while a tool runs, and you’ll see no file data sent anywhere. Our Privacy Policy explains the few anonymous counters we do record.
What we are building next
More languages for OCR, PDF form filling, e-signatures and document comparison — all following the same rule. Have a request? Email [email protected].
