Are my files uploaded to a server?

Accepted Answer

No. Yoomey runs the entire process inside your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your file is read into your device’s memory, processed there, and handed back to you as a download. We never receive it, so we cannot see, store or leak it — you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.

Will numbers and dates work in Excel formulas?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Amounts like 1,234.56 or (562.45) become real numbers (negative in brackets), and dates become real Excel dates, so SUM, filters and sorting work straight away. Account numbers with leading zeros stay as text.

What if a column is split in the wrong place?

Accepted Answer

The preview shows the column lines Yoomey found. Drag a line to move it, use “Add column line” to split, or remove a line to join two columns. You can apply your lines to every page.

Does it work with scanned statements?

Accepted Answer

Yes — switch on “Recognize text on scanned pages” and text is read on your device first. Accuracy depends on scan quality; digital PDFs exported from banking or accounting software give the best results.
