Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Yoomey runs the entire process inside your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your file is read into your device’s memory, processed there, and handed back to you as a download. We never receive it, so we cannot see, store or leak it — you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.

My PDF has no fields — can I still fill it in?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Forms that are just a printed layout have no fillable fields, so use Edit PDF instead and add text boxes wherever you need to write.

What does “flatten” mean?

Accepted Answer

Flattening turns your answers into ordinary page content, so they look the same everywhere and can no longer be edited. Leave it off if someone else still needs to fill in parts of the form.

Are forms with calculations or scripts supported?

Accepted Answer

Standard fields are filled exactly. Scripts inside the form (for example automatic totals) are not run, so check calculated fields before sending.
